Judith Claassen uit Uden: Are there new projects now Barnaby met his pension? Maybe a little guest appearance in Midsomer murders?
I have been making a documentary about the Channel Islands WWII occupation – and now I am writing book about that. Knowing its crime rates- I shall try and avoid Midsomer for a while….
Jo Simons uit Hengelo: Which series did you enjoy most during filming “Bergerac” or “Midsomer Murders?
I liked Bergerac because I was young and good-looking: I liked Midsomer Murders because I was older and wiser…
Onno en Esther: Will we see you again in a new play on the Dutch television. What are you playing now in?
I have been making a TV documentary about the Channel Islands WWII occupation – and now I am writing book about that.
Roeland Aalfs uit Harlingen: How do you look back on al the years of Midsomer Murders and will you be making guest appearances every now and then as your “old” boss used to do?
I look back on the years with great fondness because over all those years we created a family on the set – I am busy working on my book at the moment so there is no time for return just yet.
Jacomijn van Boxsel uit Velp: What is your favorite hobby? What music do you like?
History is my hobby and my passion – and I do love music as well, particular opera at the moment. I was lucky enough to see Dido and Aeneas at the Rotterdam Opera Festival when I was recently in Holland.
Henny Schouwstra: What is your favourite detective and why?
I think Grissom in CSI is very good at solving all those crimes and he respects a crime scene – which is more than we ever did in Midsomer.
Coby Fritz: Is there any possibillity that you are goïng to act again in "Bergerac". Ofcourse you where younger then, but still..., didn't we all? Otherwise we could ask our broadcast to repeat those wonderfull parts of "Bergerac".
Please ask them to repeat Bergerac as often as possible – I need the repeat fees now I am retired! They were happy days…
Stella de Nooijer: Is the person Tom Barnaby an impediment for you in regards to other acting rolls?
Not really – I had already been Bergerac when I got the role of Barnaby – but I feel I have been in police force quite enough now.
Jacqueline Spoelder: How did you find it to work with so many different (and sometimes very famous) actors through the years of Midsomer Murders?
That really was the great joy of working on Midsomer – getting all the wonderful stage actors who work at the Royal Shakespeare Company to come play a role with us; it was something we did quite deliberately and it was great fun.
Jacqueline Spoelder: How did you like working with Jeroen Krabbé?
I liked working with him enormously – though that was quite a scary episode as I remember it and involved me walking in the dark woods…
